About Us

The Godwin Athletic Association (GAA) is the booster club for the Mills E. Godwin Eagles of Richmond, VA. The operation of our association is conducted by our board of directors which is comprised of 32 officers and committee chairpersons.

Our Mission:

To encourage, support and actively contribute to the growth and continuing development of the total athletic program at Mills E. Godwin High School.

Our Contributions:

Recent or planned contributions to the program include funding for:

	Scoreboard at the Football stadium
	Indoor batting cage
	Landscaping for Tennis courts and Softball field
	Storage shed for Softball
	Field maintenance on various fields
	Wrestling mats
	Gymnastics mats
	Wireless scoreboard for gymnasium
	New PA at the Football stadium
	Improvements to the baseball field
	Donations to VHSL fund

Plans for 2009/2010:

	Tennis Pavilion
	New gymnastics uneven bars
	New Softball scoreboard
	Assistance with upgrade to auxiliary field

Our Means:

We accomplish our mission through the following means:

	Association membership dues (click here for a Membership form)
	Concession stand sales at many sports events
	Annual Golf Tournament
	Fall, Winter and Spring Program sales
	Various individual and corporate donations of time and talent, materials, and/or financial consideration
	Other fund raisers through the Ways and Means committee

As a parent of a student-athlete or a person with interest in the Godwin Athletic program, we encourage you to get involved in the many aspects of the GAA.
